How To Build A Coaching Business - Surviving The First Two Year Mark - Tammy Johnston

Magdalena Hanah & Tammy Johnston Season 2 Episode 9

Coaching and consulting is one of the fastest growing industries everyone seems to want a piece of nowadays. The premise of being your own boss coupled with doing what you are genuinely passionate about and helping others with is more than enticing to so many.

With the massive influx though there seem to be tons of misalignment, misconceptions, and false promises causing people to waste a lot of time and a lot of money, and essentially fail in the venture, causing said people to blame themselves, deem themselves as not good enough, not knowledgable enough or simply inadequate.

76% of new coaches and consultants either disappear within the first two years of starting a business or are unable to lift their business off the ground and it's not because they're not good enough at what they do, but mainly because of lack of essential business acumen that would allow them to not only survive but also thrive in that career.

In this week's episode I'm speaking to Tammy Johnston about surviving the first two years of the coaching business, her thoughts on the differences between starting now and over two decades ago, the harsh truth of marketing nowadays, and much more...

Tune in to find out how to become a successful coach or consultant, sail through the first two years, and thrive beyond doing what you love most...
